Bio
I am entering my 30th year in education. The majority of my career has been spent in the same school district, Lacey Township in N.J. I have taught kindergarten for over 20 years. I have also taught Third, Fourth, Basic Skills and Transitional First. I have been involved in curriculum writing, developing our standard based report cards, assessment development and full day kindergarten development. I have been a chairperson on many committees, a member of many more, and was our grade level coordinator several times. I was also named Teacher of the Year in 2024.
Prior Experience
I have been lucky enough to have had two student teachers and many high school helpers from a class for future educators. I have supported and guided many first year kindergarten teachers through the years.
Why Mentor?
I want to give back to a career that has given me purpose. It has been a privilege to teach children and I hope to inspire others.
