Prior Experience

At Colgate - several management positions (~10-12 years total) including leading large teams (9 -15 people). Leadership style is based on empowering, teaching, growing people professionally and personally.
@Colgate - participated for 2 years in specific mentorship program for global Quality team.

Why Mentor?

- There is a significant gap between what is learned and experience at college versus the real world. Many students/young adults enter the workforce with minimal guidance. This is especially true for those who are the first in their families to go to college or may be struggling at college and thus not exposed to professional opportunities (internships, research with a professior, etc.).
- Financial literacy is a tremendous gap with young adults and poor choices early can create a lifetime of challenges later.
- Personally, helping others succeed and grow can be deeply rewarding and provide a sense of purpose.
