Bio
I worked in college athletics for 18 years at Furman University. Started in marketing, then fundraising, then director of Athletic events. Advisor to two NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.
After Furman I worked for a PGA Tour event for 22 years. Volunteer Chairman for 14 AJGA tournaments and one USGA Girls Championship.
Prior Experience
At Furman I started a student athlete speaker program and established internship for fall and spring semesters.
I then stated an internship program at my local Chamber of Commerce where I was the director until my retirement.
Why Mentor?
I enjoy the interaction with students and obtain great personal satisfaction in their development and personal growth.
I grew up with parents that were not actively involved in. I relied on other people to help me achieve my goals.
