Bio
Hello! My name is Grace Orie, and I am a Learning & Delivery Manager at The Coca-Cola Company based at the Atlanta Headquarters. I have been in Atlanta for a while after I graduated from Clemson University, and this city has provided me with amazing career opportunities. I've worked for a few management consulting firms in the administrative space and the college & university recruiting space. My most recent proud career moment was serving as the lead recruiter for the 2025 Coca-Cola Summer Internship in North America & Canada. I have done a lot of college campus recruiting, traveled to different conferences, and I have presented to different student organizations both on their campuses and have hosted them in corporate offices. I am now in a different realm of Human Resources that focuses on internal talent development across all tenures, but still adjacent to undergraduate recruiting through development workshop offerings that we have for interns. I am passionate about our future leaders, and I understand the types of skills and opportunities that are out there. I will put all my energy into being the best mentor and speak from experience, while also actively listening to make sure I understand exactly what the student wants to get out of this mentorship!
Prior Experience
I have a variety of experience with mentoring and developing people, and there's truly nothing that compares to watching the success of others! It began with my first job out of college at a top management consulting firm where I learned to quickly excel in my administrative role while finding ways to be proactive. I was asked to mentor new hires on the team, sharing tips and tricks that worked for me, how I overcame challenges with high-level stakeholders, etc. My next few roles are when I transitioned into the people development/talent acquisition space, and I was hooked. I've done both undergraduate and advanced degree recruiting, and at the heart of networking and sharing opportunities with students, there is a lasting effect that the recruiter has when they take a chance on someone. I have previous interns still reaching out to share career updates and to stay networked because of how invested I was in their growth during their time as interns. Currently, my new role in the learning and development space is very similar to being a full-time mentor. I work with employees to provide them with all of the resources and opportunities within the company to help them become the best leader, manager, mentor, etc. that they can be, while also advancing them to whatever is the next stop on their career journey.
Why Mentor?
What motivates me to be a mentor for undergraduate students is being a small part of unlocking their potential and helping them feeling empowered to achieve what they want to, both personally and professionally. I can remember how nerve-wracking it was to be in college and have to figure out what's next!
