Prior Experience
I have extensive experience developing, coaching, and mentoring individuals across both professional and community settings. I have been a people leader for over 13 years, during which I have focused on developing talent, building leadership capability, and helping individuals grow into roles of greater responsibility.
Outside of corporate leadership, I previously served in Royal Rangers, where I helped mentor and shape young boys into honorable, values‑driven leaders. This experience strengthened my ability to coach with patience, accountability, and purpose, and reinforced the importance of character‑based leadership.
In my professional career, I am currently engaged in ongoing monthly coaching and mentoring relationships with two professionals within my current company and one professional at another organization. These relationships focus on career development, leadership effectiveness, and navigating complex professional challenges.
Additionally, I participated in my prior employer’s formal mentoring programs for nearly 10 years, mentoring 4–5 associates per mentoring circle. In these programs, I supported associates with career planning, skill development, and leadership readiness while fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
Across all of these experiences, my approach to mentoring centers on active listening, honest feedback, and helping individuals recognize and build confidence in their strengths while preparing them for long‑term success.
Why Mentor?
Developing next generation of leaders is very attractive to me. On a personal note, I have a son who is a Junior at Georgia Tech, another twin boys who are freshmen at Georgia State and Kennesaw State respectively, in addition to my daughter who is graduating in May from Kennesaw State. Having someone provide that guidance and counseling in their journey is very crucial to their success, especially when it comes from someone other than the parent. I have given same guidance to my kids that they blow off, but when same idea was given by a coach or mentor, they latch on to it. I want to be that for these young future leaders.
